PRESS RELEASE - WAYNE, OH - JULY 9, 2009 - Get in on the best kept secret in Northwest Ohio! A Rockin' Country Hoedown at it's best in the heartland of Wood County! If you're planning some fun on a hot summer night… come to Wayne, Ohio where the music is live, and the food and drink are down-home delicious! The Third Annual "WAYNE FIREFIGHTER’S COUNTRY JAMBOREE" presented in part by B Hill’z Excavating is scheduled for Saturday, July 25th in downtown Wayne, Ohio where over 500 were in attendance last year. The event features 4 live Country Recording artists from the region that provide entertainment all evening. New this year in the line-up is Country Music's ANNABELLE ROAD from Detroit, Michigan and local favorite MIDLAND RAIL. National Recording Artist Justine Blazer, also from Detroit, MI will return for her second year and topping off our entertainment with a rockin’ country show will be the much loved Toledo favorite, RODNEY “HOT ROD” PARKER AND LIBERTY BEACH. The first music act begins at 4pm, with gates to the event opening at 3pm. This event is for adults age 18 and over only.

There is a lot to do at the Jamboree while you listen to the live music! A Cornhole Classic tournament begins at 4:00 with registration beginning at 3:00 pm for $25 per couple which includes entrance to the event. We are looking for this year’s “best-dressed” team and cash prizes will be given for the top three winners of the tourney. A Cash Raffle is being held with tickets on sale now. Three cash prizes to be given away throughout the evening as well as 50/50’s and raffles.
Our beer tent will be open from 3pm-Midnight. Beverages provided for the evening by Bud Light and Pepsi-Cola. A Hog Roast Dinner is available for $6 dollars a person and includes one beverage ticket starting at 5pm. Hot Beef sandwiches are also available.

Wear your cowboy hat and kick up your heels where the dancing is hot, and so is the music! Break out your "Daisy Dukes" and cowboy boots and come on out for an evening of Fun, Food and Excitement at the Third Annual WAYNE FIREFIGHTER’S COUNTRY JAMBOREE! Advance Tickets are $5 and are available from any member of the fire department. Tickets also available online at www.waynefirejamboree.net until July 17th. Gate Admission will be $10 per person. All money benefits the Wayne Fire Department and the Wayne Anniversary Memorial.
While you're there, visit our newly completed memorial project which has been three years in the making, in large part from the proceeds of the event and community donations. A new memorial honoring fallen firefighters, service members, and law enforcement service providers. Share in our celebration of the project completion, and help us finish the next phase. The Jamboree will assist in raising funds for three flagpoles, flags, a memorial plaque, stone, burning bush, and additional brick walkway to entirely complete the project. Donations for any of these items are gladly accepted and donors will be recognized at the Jamboree. Donations for the Event will receive advertising and special recognition at the Jamboree.

PRESS RELEASE - WAYNE, OH - May 1, 2009 - Welcome everyone to COUNTRY JAMBOREE 2009! Having seen its audience double in size from 2007 to 2008, our COUNTRY JAMBOREE, Wayne's Country Music Festival-sponsored in part by Bud Light, returns to Wayne for its third year on Saturday, July 25. The Wayne Fire Station in Wayne, OH once again plays host to an impressive lineup of four live bands featuring some of the area’s top talent in country music including headliners Rodney Parker & Liberty Beach and Justine Blazer. Special guests Annabelle Road and Midland Rail will finish out our round up of amazing talent.
Alongside the variety of musical options, the jamboree features an authorized Cornhole Tournament with a cash payout, a highly praised Hog Roast, available for $6, with homemade fixin’s., and our popular Hoedown Hunnies will be on site for photos and merchandise sales. Concert goers will experience an afternoon of fun, food, and country music.
Tickets for COUNTRY JAMBOREE 2009 will be available here online Friday, May 25 at 10:00 AM, select ticket outlets, or from any firefighter. Ticket prices start at just $5.00 for pre-sale passes. CONCERT GATES
Gates open on Saturday at 3:00 pm. Your ticket is exchanged for a wristband when you arrive, which allows you in and out of the concert grounds whenever you like. Have an I. D. ready. Wristbands are used to identify adult and minor Jammers. Only those 18 and over will be permitted on the concert grounds. No bottles, cans, coolers, or beverages of any kind may be brought into the concert area. You may be asked to open bags for inspection.
PARKING
Country Jamboree parking is free and is located downtown at the main four corners of Wayne. Please do not park in any area marked no parking.
FOOD
Our highly praised Hog Roast will be available for $6.00. Dinner includes all the fancy fixin’s; homemade potato salad, western baked beans, and a drink. The Hog Roast is available for carry out and admission is not required. Alternatives to pulled pork will be available.
New this year will be our Bullhorn Beef Sandwiches. Hot Roast Beef, Peppers, Onions, & Cheese. We will also carry Stadium Dogs or Chili Dogs. All of our sandwiches can be served as a dinner for $6.
